Done with High School

So I wanna give a shout out to los Padres. Thank you thank you thank you for loving me enough to homeschool me, let me attend AHS, and intern throughout these 4 years of high school. You both allowed me so much creative freedom and always pushed me to do my best, pursue excellence, clean my room, and persevere. I know that I am truly blessed to have you both as parents.

Today was my last day of high school and I am SO glad!!!! Also, to top it all off, I received a letter from Divine Women of Destiny Ministries Intl saying that I won the Freddie Murray Colligate Scholarship.

Thank you to everyone who's been keeping up with me these last few years or even months. Your support and love is always appreciated.

Friends - Thankful Thursday

I don't know if I ever told you guys this when I started public school last March. but I had a hard time making friends. I was so alone. I'm this really outgoing person. Once I get to know everyone. Sometimes I am just super outgoing when I feel like I can be. When I feel like I'm in an environment where someone else is the dominant outgoing person....i shy down. waaaay down. i pitied myself so much that I had lunch with my math teacher every day. it wasn't until junior year (this current school year) that I actually started making friends. and now I don't feel so alone. I actually have something to do during our long lunch!! (lunch for a whole hour twice a week)

anyways. if you ever find out that there is someone new in your environment, be nice. say hello. try to be their friend:) show some love! you know you'd want people to do the same thing to you.

anywho, the whole point of this post was to tell you that I'm branching out. public school has shaped me even more and I know that I would not be who I am if I had not gone to public school. it's been an amazing experience (most of the time;) and I'm learning so much through it. academically and socially.

XOXO!

confessions

When I started public school this past March, everything changed.
My schooling
My friends
My life.

Does this mean I got rid of my old friends?
My old life?

Of course not!!

As they say, Old friends and gold and New friends are silver.

Or something along those lines.

but to be honest...I've been resistant. definitely not open.
it's been a struggle. it's been really hard
to embrace these new friends and life.
but it's for the best.

Because this is now who I am.
And isn't that what life is all about?
What I'm always singing about?
Change

So please stick around for these lovely ladies and their lovely posts.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

I gave it my all..... + giveaway

+I did. I really did. I truly tried my best. I even prayed before I started the history quiz. I took it on Wednesday and I got my grade today:/ I was so excited and anxious to get it to see how I did.

I went to go see my teacher about my grade today..... I GOT A 98%!!!! I'm sooo happy... OMG
I literally almost jumped up and down out of joy in front of my teacher....

But that would've been awkward O.o

Ok ok.... now time for the giveaway part.

Yes I am proud!

You know that game....knockout..... It's a basketball game. In case you didn't know: I'm 5'2. and guess what? After many days of attempting to beat the girls in my p.e. class.... I WON a game of knockout!! Of course I got used to not making it into the basket, but I figured "Hey. Let me not give up and try to win this thing." Of course the game that I won happened to be one of the last games for our p.e. unit because we just finished up the Basketball course. I am so very very very excited!! I literally jumped up and was so excited.

Cuz' you know. Usually I'm all like

eh

And I was so excited!!! I'm pretty sure the girls playing with me were all like

"Why is she jumping all excited...It's just a game?"

Well because when I played basketball for *erm* one semester, I passed the ball to the other team. More than once. And then one of my teammates left a very rude comment on my website saying that I was no good at basketball.

Well....I just won!!! It's the principle of the thing as I like to say.

Of course I have a family who is proud..... and usually makes fun of me for passing the ball to the other team
Well they do! I ♥ my parents. They are proud no matter what.

Oh. Did I mention I got a 92 in Math?

Tuesday Tip

be you
It's Thinky Tuesday.... Ok not really...

It's actually.......drum roll: Tuesday's Tips/Tutorials!!

5 Tips to surviving being a transfer home school student who got into public school like 3 1/2 months before school lets out for the summer.

1. Don't be afraid to use your school map!

2. Don't be afraid to ask for directions if you've walked up and
down the same hallway 3 times and still can't find your class.

3. DON'T let kids copy your homework even if they beg and tell you it's the only time they are going to copy it - because that is not true...

4. Do your homework the same night you get it that way it's done by the next time you need it....Also do your homework Friday night or Saturday morning if you can. It saves so much time.

5. Take your shower the night before, pick out your outfit the night before, pack your snacks the night before. That way int he morning all you have to do is make your sand-which or whatevs you eat and only take like 30 minutes to apply make-up, do your hair, brush teeth/wash face.

Oh. Am I the only one that takes that long?
