The hair saga continues

I can't remember if I already blogged about this...but I chopped off my hurr. Okay maybe only like 2 inches, but that's a big deal for me since the last time I got a pro haircut job was over 2 years ago! 

I know you already know I cut my bangs back in September, but in case you didn't see that post or I didn't write about it, here's a pic:

So then about 2 weeks ago I got my hair cut:

(I know I already posted this pic, but it's a good representation).

And today I dyed it!!! In the picture above you can't really tell, but I had a subtle ombré and just wasn't too pretty and I did not like my summer sun highlights anymore. SO here are some before/after pictures:)

And now 

Plain old dark brown. Just the way I like it :)

Secret to happiness....and success!

Maybe you saw my post back in March. I called it, "Stop Explaining Yourself". You can read it here. In the post I talk about some of my insecurities and such. It makes me a little sad to think I was that insecure. We all have our process and we all come a long way! I don't know about you, but 2013 has been life changing, baby.

I've grown as a person, I'm really happy, and I know who I am. I know my purpose and I know my destiny. I'll be writing a lot about purpose/calling/destiny on the blog these next couple of months. Anyways, I can be pretty insecure as I'm sure we all are. If you've NEVER been insecure...then wow! Please tell me your secret. I'll give you my secret to happiness & success. BE YOURSELF! Deep, I know.
We've all heard it here and there, but really, being yourself is the best thing..like ever. I always thought I was myself. I mean I definitely have my way of doing things and blah blah blah, but I don't think I've ever really been more me than I have since the beginning of school. I always try to stand out while blending in. Spoiler alert! It doesn't work.

You either all in or all out. No in between. Secret numero 2 to being yourself? Be comfortable. You've gotta love the clothes you wear, the food you eat (don't give in to gluttony, but a donut IS OK for you every once in a while), the way you do your makeup, and the way you style your hair.

I recently did something to my hair that I vowed I would never do again. Cut my bangs. yikes I know. It was totally spur of the moment and I actually did them myself with my own special hair chopping scissors ;) haha anyways the point of this story is that I thought I'd hate it and it's make me look like a little kid and I didn't understand why I did it because I've basically had bangs my whole life and my bangs were finnnaaally past my chin...but I feel comfortable and so much more like myself and that has made me happy which...is making me more successful because I'm more confident and can present things with that confidence :) Beauty really is from the inside out.

"It's just a stage"

And thank goodness it was "just a stage".

I wanted to become famous (still do)

but I wasn't allowed to use my real name online.

So I went by Gracie Starr.

I decided to also come up with a "Secret look".

Hannah Montana did it. 

Why couldn't I? 

RIGHT?

Wrong.

Hannah Montana isn't real.

Plus she was like a gaballionaire.

Hair Recap since bob cut in May

This is before I got my haircut.

So I go to get a haircut, trusting the guy cutting it,

and he accidentally chopped it off. 

It was also crooked. So I had my friend fix it up (even shorter!) 

and she added bangs :)

This is a couple of weeks after

I got the worst haircut of my life.

(btw my bangs aren't oily I just over gelled that day...)

A couple of days after I got the cut

I had a huge audition.

So my mom wanted to straighten my hair.

(see the snip on the left....the guy did that)

This was in September

December

Now :)

(it looks longer because of my silly messy hair)

It will grow grow grow!!! and I shall let it.

I just trimmed it a bit, but only on the top layer.

No major haircuts for me this year!!

I also used one of the plastic clear "hoops" that hold scarves in place

on racks.... And yes, that is a bread tie holding my bangles together.

Chapstick!!

Get a tinted one and a clear one. 

Plus there is a little SPF to protect your lips (:

Is that I got these two for free for my birthday 

at Sephora. I just walked in, picked it up, and now I use them (:

Bronzer! What I like about bronzer is that you don't have to

use foundation and even if you do it looks good.

It gives you a "glow" and sparkle.

Here's the same brand, but this time it's blush. 

You know what's awesome? Is that these are great products.

and they are only about $3 at Wal-mart. 

Last, but not least nails art supplies. Nails are great "accessories". 

And that's it. My beauty essentials for 2013.

Don't forget that you don't need this stuff to be beautiful. 

It's just an additive. Not a need.

this is mainly for "normal" hair that is frizzy. it is fine on colored or treated hair.

Bad Haircut?

Cry Cry tear tear... yes it's true! I got a bad haircut. I got bangs(which I love), but I got an uneven bob. blah.
Too late too fix it, but I've been wearing my hair up for the past two days now. I don't know what to do. And NO you do not get a picture. Sorry:(

Anyone know how I can get it to grow any faster? Please help me!!!

Blonde...Red Head...Brunette?

Or Blackette? Is that even a word? If not, it should be. right? I mean, what else do you call a person with black hair? It shouldn't be brunette. And what happens if you are dark brown? Are you Dark Brunette? Or Light Blackette?















Oh this is soooo confusing!  On the bright side ( or actually dark side ) did you notice I dyed my hair??

That's right I got a new look!!!

No Heat Hairstyle

This lovely hair has gone over a week without heat!!! Ohhhh yeaaah...That's how I roll.

It's fairly easy.... Just twist your semi-damp hair along the sides one side at a time. 

Once one side is clipped to the back start on the next side. Once you reach the back roll your hair and clip hair together.... If need be use bobby pins to hold the sides of your hair.

You guys know how I've been wanting to get bangs....I'm still not sure if I can do straight across, but I did do side bangs!! Check'em out. (They are the best side bangs I've ever had)

You like? It's ok if you don't. I like'em;)

In other news, today is Wednesday....So maybe that's not news.
